DeLoreans Are Going Back Into Production - IGN News
For the first time since the 1980’s,Back to the Future‘s time-traveling sports car is making a return. The DeLorean Motor Company recently announced that it plans to make 300 more of the sports car after a 34-year break.
Made in America – Texas to be specific – the new DeLorean DMC-12 models will be made using the company’s remaining parts from the 80’s, and will set buyers back at least 0,000, depending on the engine.
The car company was previously prohibited from producing the famed model because the futuristic designs belonged to John DeLorean’s estate, and not the auto business, which went bankrupt in 1982.
The DeLorean DMC-12’s engine will be updated but the car’s iconic appearance – brushed stainless steel skin and gull-wing doors – will remain unchanged. It’s a retro car lover’s dream.
