Men Are Handing Out Fat Shaming Cards To Women On The London Underground
A Group Called Overweight Haters Ltd Is Going Out Of Their Way To Body Shame People On The Tube
This is a new low for the human race
Just when you thought humans couldn’t get any worse, a group calling themselves Overweight Haters Ltd is going out of their way to body shame and humiliate passengers on the tube.
Twitter user Kara Florish, who works for the NHS, was sitting on the tube minding her own business when she was handed this despicable card, which had the word ‘fat’ emblazoned across the front.
Kara posted a picture of the card to her Twitter page, writing ‘was handed this card on the underground. is hateful + cowardly +could potentially upset people struggling with confidence’.
She also took to her Facebook page, writing: ‘Dear all – I was handed this card this morning on the underground and I would appreciate it if people tweeted, posted etc. all over the internet. I am not upset myself, I am smaller than the national average and not exactly obese, but this is hateful and cowardly and could potentially upset people struggling with confidence and eating disorders.
‘Please tweet and share this if you are also outraged. Plus – to the person who wrote this card, go back to school. You can’t spell beautiful’.
